Head Chef at Canada Water Cafe is Michele Spiotta who has been with us since 2015. Michele has a passion for authentic Italian recipes and quality ingredients.
Born in Valva, a small village close to Salerno, Michele got his passion for cooking from very early on when he watched his mother and granmother making fresh pasta and traditional family dishes. At just 15 he decided to pursue his first love of cooking and moved to Abruzzo where he completed cookery school as one of the best in his class. After graduating he started working in a luxury hotel in Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany. After that he has worked in Siena and in Venice before moving to London to join Canada Water Cafe.
Michele has an unrivalled passion for traditional methods and recipes and stays close to the values that underpin Italian cooking. As Head Chef at Canada Water Cafe he makes sure that every plate of pasta and pizza that is served stays true to it's Italian heritage. Michele prides himself on creating high quality traditional dishes that pique the interest and expand the palate of new customers.
